REMARKS.
The number of births entered upon record the past year is fifty-four, being nineteen in excess of the previous year.
Forty-nine marriages have been solemnized in this town and other places the past year by the following named clergy- men and Justices of the Peace, and the certificates thereof have been returned and entered upon the records of this town, viz: Rev. Mr. Lothrop, 19; Rev. Mr. Snow, 8; Rev. Mr. Fletcher, 4; Rev. Mr. Cutting. 3; Rev. Messrs. Morse, Yates, Couden, Applebee, 2 each ; Rev. Messrs. Sargent, Basten, Hood, Bell, Gammon, John Smith, Esq., and James S. Paine, Esq., 1 each.
Fifty-three deaths have been recorded the past year, being five less than occurred in 1887.
