Records of Boxford.
MR. REINHART-Having had occasion to consult the Records of the Town of Boxford, I have taken the liberty to transmit a few articles for your paper. The old records which were much torn and obliterated, have lately been copied into a large strong folio hook for preservation. The new record of the transactions of the Town is written in a most neat and legible style, and refleets great honor upon Mr. Dormon, the formef Town Clerk who executed it. The records of the births and marriages have been as. sorted with great labor by Mr. John Bacon, the present Town Clerk, and systematisyd into family registers, so that a person may have a distinet view of his fami. ly so far as their names are inserted in the Town Books.
Too much praise cannot be bestowed upon Mr. Ba. con for his industry and accuracy.' It would be well in other Towns to imitate Boxford in this, and in other commendable examples .. R.
