WARRANT FOR ANNUAL TOWN MEETING.
ESSEX, SS.
To either of the Constables of the town of Hamilton, in said County, GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the town of Hamilton, qualfied to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the vestry in said town on Tuesday, the fourteenth day of March 1882, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles : viz.
Ist. To choose a Moderator to preside in said meeting.
2d. To choose all necessary town officers for the year ensuing.
3d, To hear the annual report of the Selectmen, and act thereon.
4th. Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liq- uors in this town.
5th. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges for the year ensuing, and make appropriations of the same.
6th. To determine the manner of repairing the Highways, Town ways and Bridges, the ensuing year and make appropriations for the same.
7th. To see if the town will authorize their Collector to use all means of collecting the taxes which a town Treasurer when ap- pointed collector may use agreeable to Chapter 18, Section 73 of the General Statutes.
8th. To see if the town will authorise their Treasurer to hire money under the direction of the Selectmen in anticipation of taxes.
9th. To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer to renew notes already due or to hire money to replace or pay the same.
roth. To see if the town will accept the list of Jurors as pro- posed by the Selectmen.
IIth. To see at what time tax bills shall be issued, and taxes due, and what rate of interest shall be collected on taxes not paid when due, and also, what discount shall be allowed on all taxes paid within a specified time.
12th. To choose all necessary Committees.

13th. To act on any other matter that may come legally before said meeting.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof, one at the Meeting House, and one at some other public place, in said Town, seven days at least, before the time and place of meeting, as aforesaid.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk, at the time and the place of meeting, as aforesaid.
Given under our hands this twenty-seventh day of February, in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.
