Selectmen of
Warrant for Annual Town Meeting. Essex, ss.
To either of the Constables of the Town of Hamilton in said County, GREETING: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed to notify and warn the Inhabitants of the Town of Hamilton, qualified to vote in Elections, and in Town affairs, to meet at the Vestry in said Town, on TUESDAY, the ninth day of March 1886, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following ar- ticles, viz :
ART. I. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meet- ing.
ART. 2. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing.
ART. 3. To hear the Annual Report of the Selectmen and act thereon.
ART. 4. To hear the Report of Committees, and act thereon.
ART. 5. Shall Licenses be granted for the sale of Intoxi- cating Liquors in this Town the year ensuing.

ART. 6. To raise such sums of money as may be neces- sary to defray the Town Charges for the year ensuing, and make appropriations for the same.
ART. 7. To determine the manner of repairing the High- ways, town ways, and bridges the year ensuing, and make appropriations for the same.
ART. 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer to hire money under the direction of the Selectmen in antici- pation of Taxes.
ART. 9. To see if the Town will authorize their Collec- tor to use all means of collecting the taxes which a Town Treasurer when appointed a Collector, may use, agreeably to Chap. IS, Sec. 73 of the Public Statutes
AKT. IO. To see if the Town will authorize the Treas- urer to renew Notes already due, or may become due, or to hire money to replace or pay the same.
ART. II. To see if the Town will except the List of Ju- rors as proposed by the Selectmen.
ART. 12. To see at what time Tax bills shall be issued and Taxes become due, and what rate of interest shall be collected on taxes not paid when due, and also what discount shall be allowed on all taxes paid within a specified time.
ART. 13. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of a proper observance of Decora- tion Day, by the Soldiers of the late Rebellion.
ART. 14. To see what action the Town will take in re- gard to the bill of C. J. Norwood, for extra labor on the Highway near his house.
ART. 15. To act on any other matters that may legally come before said meeting.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting at- tested copies thereof one at the meeting house and one at some other public place in said town, seven days at least, before the time holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not, and make due return of this Warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of said meeting.
Given under our hands this twenty fifth day of February, in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.
