Warrant for Annual Town Meeting.


ESSEX. SS.


To either of the Constables of the Town of Hamilton in said County.


GREETING :


In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are di- rected to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Hamilton. qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs. to meet at the VESTRY in said town. on TUESDAY. the TENTH DAY OF MARCH. 1891. at ten o'clock in the forenoon. then and there to act on the following articles. viz. :


ARTICLE 1. To choose a moderator to preside at said meeting.


ART. 2. To choose all necessary Town officers for the year ensu- ingr.


ART. 3. To hear the annual report of the Selectmen and act thereon.


ART. 4. To hear the report of Committees and act thereon.


ART. 5. Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating Liquors in this Town the year ensuing.


ART. 6. To see what action the Town will take in regard to the removal of the School house in the South district to a more Central location, and to appropriate money for the same. and purchase of location as petitioned for by A. L. Whipple and others.


ART. 7. To see what action the Town will take in regard to the acceptance of the act of the Legislature in regard to Public Libraries in towns where there are no Public Libraries. and if accepted. to ap- propriate the amount of money required by the State. as petitioned for by Otis F. Brown. and others.


ART. S. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money not to exceed One hundred and fifty dollars ($150.) to build a fence and grade round the new School house. as petitioned for by A. B. Chadwick. and others.

TOWN WARRANT.


ART. 9. To see if the Town will accept and lay out as a Public highway :- to wit, -- making a continuance of the Town road from its present terminus. at the bridge near the Chebacco House to Woods Bars, (so called) near the Winepoyken House, and that the sum of Three hundred dollars ($300) be appropriated for the grad- ing and widening of the said continuance, as petitioned for by T. W. Brown, JJr., and others.


ART. 10. To see if the Town will widen the road between Henry Carey's and the Wenham line and appropriate money for the same. as petitioned for by Henry Carey, and others.


ART. 11. To see if the Town will accept the provisions of C'hap- ter 158 of the acts of the year 1871, in regard to Road Commissioners, as petitioned for by JJ. F. Gwinn, and others.


ART. 12. To see if the Town will vote to build a sidewalk from Tuttle's Corner to Austin .Brown's bars, as petitioned for by John Dane, Jr .. and others.


ART. 13. To see what action will be taken in regard to naming streets, as requested by Daniel E. Safford.


ART. 14. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray the Town charges for the year ensuing.


ART. 15. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer to hire money, under the direction of the Selectmen, in anticipation of taxes.


ART. 16. To see if the Town will authorize their Collector to use all means of collecting the taxes which a Town Treasurer, when ap- pointed a Collector, may use agreeably to Chap. 18. Sec. 73 of the Public Statutes.


ART. 17. To see what action the Town will take in regard to hav- ing all the Rail Road crossings in town protected.


ART. 18. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer to re- new notes already due, or may become due, or hire money to replace or pay the same.


ART. 19. To see at what time tax bills shall be issued and taxes become due, and what rate of interest shall be charged on taxes not paid when due, and also what discount shall be allowed on all taxes paid within a specified time.

ART. 20. To see if the Town will accept the list of Jurors as pro- posed by the Selectmen, and posted.


ART. 21. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum not to exceed Fifty dollars ($50 00) for the proper observance of Decoration Day, by the Soldiers of the late Rebellion.


ART. 22. To raise money for the repairs of Highways and Bridges and determine the manner of appropriating the same.


ART. 23. To act on any other matter that may legally come be- fore said meeting.


And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested cop- ies thereof, one at the Meeting House and one at some other public place in said town, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.


Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of holding said meeting.
