Warrant for Annual Town Meeting.
ESSEX, SS.
To either of the Constables of the Town of Hamilton in said County, GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are di- rected to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Hamilton, qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the VESTRY in said town, on TUESDAY, the ELEVENTH DAY OF MARCH, 1890, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles, viz. :
ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
ART. 2. To choose all necessary Town officers for the year en- suing.
ART. 3. To hear the annual report of the Selectmen and act thereon.
ART. 4. To hear the report of Committees and act thereon.
ART. 5. Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town the year ensuing.
ART. 6. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum not exceeding fifty dollars($50.00)to repair the highway leading from Topsfield road to Ipswich road by the residence of S. Augustus Waitt, as petitioned for by S. A. Waitt and others.
ART. 7. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money not to exceed one hundred and fifty dollars, ($150.00) to build a side- walk from the Depot Square-so called-to Asbury Street, through Grove and Willow, as petitioned for by Geo. G. Creamer and others.
ART. 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to take up or rebuild the bridge on Gail Avenue, near the house of Geo. B. Dodge, and make such other repairs on Westerly end of said Avenue as may to them seem necessary, the expense for the same not to ex- ceed fifty dollars, ($50.00) as petitioned for by Alvin Smith and others.

TOWN WARRANT.
ART. 9. To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of two hun- dred dollars ($200.00) to widen the road between the Riggs place and Sand hill, near the Camp ground, as petitioned for by Geo. B. Dodge and others.
ART. 10. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money not to exceed one hundred and fifty dollars, ($150.00) for the purpose of finishing the Sidewalk from Tuttle's corner to the end of Edward Whight's fence, as petitioned for by G. E. F. Dane and others.
ART. 11. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money to build a School House near the Wenham and Hamilton Depot as pe- titioned for by Charles E. Dodge and others.
ART. 12. To see if the Town will authorize the School Committee to purchase a parcel of land to enlarge the yard at the North School House, and make an appropriation for the same, per request of School Committee.
ART. 13. To see what action the Town will take towards estab- lishing a Public Library, and make appropriations for the same.
ART. 14. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to build a Hearse House to be located in the Cemetery, and make appropria- tions for the same.
ART. 15. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray the town charges for the year ensuing.
ART. 16. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer to hire an amount not exceeding three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) in an- ticipation of taxes the current year, or the year next ensuing, and to be made payable therefrom.
ART. 17. To see if the Town will authorize their Collector to use all means of collecting the taxes which a Town Treasurer, when ap- pointed a Collector, may use agreeably to Chap. 18, Sec. 73 of the Public Statutes.
ART. 18. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer to renew notes already due or may become due, or hire money to replace or pay the same.
ART. 19. To see at what time tax bills shall be issued and taxes become due, and what rate of interest shall be charged on taxes

not paid when due, and also what discount shall be allowed on all taxes paid within a specified time.
ART. 20. To see if the Town will accept the list of jurors as pro- posed by the Selectmen and posted.
ART. 21. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money for the proper observance of Decoration Day, by the Soldiers of the late Rebellion.
ART. 22. To see if the Town will vote to accept and build the street known as Maple street, thence through the land owned by Wm. Hollingshead to Asbury street, near the house of Wm. Hollingshead, and raise and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by Geo. G. Creamer and others.
ART. 23. To see what action the Town will take in regard to plac- ing street lights from Wenham line to Ipswich line, on the main st., as petitioned for by Thomas Robinson and others. .
ART. 24. To raise money for the repair of Highways and Bridges and determine the manner of appropriating the same.
ART. 25. To act on any other matters that may legally come be- fore said meeting.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested cop- ies thereof, one at the Meeting House and one at some other public place in said town, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your do- ings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of said meet- ing.
