Warrant for Town Meeting.


ESSEX, SS. : .. :


To either of the Constables of the Town of Hamilton, in said County,


GREETING :::


In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Hamilton, qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the VESTRY in said town, on TUESDAY, the EIGHTH DAY OF MARCH, 1892, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles, viz. :


ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meet- ing.


ART. 2. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing.


ART. 3: To hear the annual report of the Selectmen and act thereon.


ART. 4. To hear the report of Committees and act thereon.


ART. 5. Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in, this Town the year ensuing?


"ART. 6. To see if the Town will authorize the School Com- mitee to place any insurance on its public school houses as pe- titioned for by A, B. CHADWICK and others.


ART. 7. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money to purchase books for the Public Library, and to pay the. Li- brarian for the year ensuing.


ART. 8. To see if the Town will accept the provisions of Chap. 431, of the Acts of 1888, relating to the employment of a Superintendent of Schools, and appropriate money for the same as petitioned for by JOSEPH P. LOVERING and others.


ART. 9. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges the year ensuing.

TOWN WARRANT.


ART. 10. To see if the Town will authorize their Treasurer to hire money, under the direction of the Selectmen, in antici- pation of taxes.


ART. 11. To see if the Town will authorize their Collector to use all means of collecting the taxes which a Town Treasu- rer, when appointed a Collector, may use agreeably to Chap. 18, Sec. 73 of the Public Statutes.


ART. 12. To see at what time tax bills shall be issued and taxes become due, and what rate of interest shall be charged on taxes not paid when due, and also what discount shall be allowed on all taxes paid within a specified time.


ART. 13. To appropriate money for the repairs of Highways and Bridges and determine the manner of expending the same.


ART. 14. To see if the Town will accept the list of Jurors as proposed by the Selectmen, and posted.


ART. 15. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum not to exceed fifty dollars, ($50.00) for the proper observance of Dec- oration Day by the Soldiers of the late Rebellion.


ART. 16. To act on any other matter that may legally come before said meeting.


And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attest- ed copies thereof, one at the Meeting House and one at some other public place in said town seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.


Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of holding said meeting.
