Warrant for Annual Town Meeting.
Essex, ss. To either of the Constables of the Town of Hamilton. GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Hamilton qualified to vote in elections and in Town af- fairs to meet in the Vestry in said Town on Tuesday the tenth day of March 1896, at 10 o'clock A. M. in the forenoon then and there to act on the following articles :-
Art. 1. To choose a moderator to preside in said meeting.
Art. 2. To choose all necessary Town officers for the year ensuing.
Art. 3. To hear the report of the Selectmen and act thereon.
Art. 4. Shall licenses be granted in the Town of Hamil- ton for the sale of intoxicating liquors the year ensuing.
Art. 5. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money not to exceed Fifty-Dollars ($50.) for the proper ob- servance of Decoration Day by the soldiers of the late Re- bellion.
Art. 6. To see what action the Town will take for pro- viding accommodations for the scholars attending the South School and make necessary appropriation therefor, as petitioned for by George H. Gibney and others.

TOWN MEETING WARRANT.
Art. 7. To see what action the Town will take in regard to placing the names of the streets in suitable places for the convenience of the public and appropriate money for the same as petitioned for by Otis F. Brown and others.
Art. 8. To see what action the Town will take in regard to the grading and graveling the following streets viz :- Arlington street running from Maple street to Park street so called. and Park street running from Asbury street to house of Tinkham as laid out by the selectmen, and appropriate money for the same as petitioned for by John Holmes and others.
Art. 9. To see what action the Town will take in regard to furnishing fire protection in the thickly settled portions of the town, and to appropriate a sum of money not to exceed One Thousand Dollars to provide for the same. as petitioned for by F. E. Miller and others.
Art. 10. To see if the Town will authorize their Treas- urer to hire money under the direction of the Selectmen in anticipation of taxes.
Art. 11. To raise such sums of money as may be neces- sary to defray Town charges the year ensuing.
Art. 12. To appropriate money for the repairs of high- ways, townways and bridges and determine the manner of expending the same.
Art. 13. To see if the Town will authorize their Collec- tor to use all means of collecting the taxes which a Town Treasurer when appointed a Collector may use agreeable to Chapter 18, Sec. 73 of the Public Statutes.
Art. 14. To see what time Tax bills shall be issued and taxes become due.
Art. 15. To see if the Town will accept the list of Jurors as proposed and posed by the Selectmen.

And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting at- tested copies thereof, one at the meeting house, and one at some other public place in said town seven days at least be- fore the time for holding said meeting.
