All the front ground of the cemetery bordering on the main street has been sown to grass and presents a fine appearance.

The trees have been trimmed, some dead ones removed, and the iron fence has been painted.

Four lots to be made into one lot have been set apart ex- pressly for the burial of all soldiers and sailors who have, or at any time shall have, fought on land or sea for the flag of our country.

It is the purpose of the commissioners to remove to this lot every soldier and sailor in the cemetery entitled to such burial and who now lies sleeping in a lone grave.

The commissioners recognize the great importance of having a thorough plan of the cemetery made during the present year.

A large amount of valuable information should be recorded, which can only be obtained from Mr. E. C. Tibbetts, who has had the care of the cemetery quite a number of years.

There is also more or less work to be done on the avenues and in keeping the grounds neat and clean.

All deeds of lots hereafter to be issued will contain Rules and Regulations for the government of the cemetery.

The commissioners recommend an appropriation by the town of $300.00.

GEORGE K. KNOWLTON, F. C. NORTON, GEO. H. GIBNEY, Cemetery Commissioners.
