This school house needs repairing and it is our desire that when it is done it shall be well done.

The seats are well worn and are uncomfortable. and we hope it will meet the approbation of the Town, as it is the desire of those most interested in the school, to have your committee replace the old seats with the style of desk which we have put into the Northwest school house.

Your committee have made no change in the Loudville school as it seemed, in their judgment, best for the present to let it remain as it is. The bill for the support of this school is larger than it will be another year as there has been a considerable amount of money laid out in repairs which will not be necessary next year.

On account of the irregularity of attendance in the South school. the number of scholars being reduced to only two or three, your committee deemed it prudent to cut the term short and give more time to summer and fall terms.

The record of attendance for the year has been the best in the Northwest school, there having been for the first two terms but six absent marks and only one tardy mark for the whole year. Nancy Williams was not absent or tardy during the whole year.

The Clark Scholarship Prize for the best reader and speller in the Center School at the close of the winter term, was awarded to James Whelan.

The amount appropriated for school expenses will probably be sufficient for another year, but your committee would recommend that the sum of $125.00 be raised for school books. Last year there was a large stock of books on hand so that we were not obliged to purchase as many as we shall be obliged to for another year.
