We have taken the pupils from the South school to this school this year, and so far there has been a more uniform at- tendance. The stove in this school house has not been in con- dition to render it safe to leave a fire in for the past year. We have this winter put in a new stove, and now think it safe and it will be a saving of fuel.

REPORT

OF THE

Superintendent of Schools

To the School Committee :-

I respectfully submit the annual report of the Superintend- ent of schools for the past school year.

At the opening of the school year in September, there was only one chancge in the list of teachers. Miss Gladys Copp, a graduate of Smith College, was engaged to teach the Center school.

There have been no material changes in the character of the work. Each of the schools has been provided with a set of maps without names, and a special effort has been made to teach the location of places to the pupils. Each school has also been provided with a set of geographical readers, which give much general information about the different countries.
