We have found that although there is no great saving in transporting the pupils from the South school to this one, the
22
attendance has been much more uniform and the pupils have been more interested in their studies.
The school huose in the south district was very badly dam- aged. The front door and two of the windows were entirely destroyed and it has cost the town quite a large sum to put it in any condition suitable to use for a school. There should be a stop put to such a lawless destruction of property.
