Extracts from By-Laws.
Article 5. The use of the library and reading room shall be free to all residents of the town, of suitable age; but any person may be temporarily forbidden such use, for carelessness or misconduct.
Article 6. Any person temporarily living in town may use the library on the same conditions as residents, provided that before taking books he shall furnish a satisfactory guaranty, or deposit with the libra- rian the sum of three dollars.
Article 7. The library shall be opened : Reading room, Sundays, 2.30 to 5.30 P. M. ; Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10 to 12 A. M., 1 to 6, and 7 to 9 P. M. ; Book room, 1 to 6 P. M. Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10to 12 A. M., 1 to 9 P. M .; Book room, 1 to 9 P. M. The library is closed on holidays.
Article 9. If any person shall lose, deface or injure a volume, he shall replace the same or pay for it. A fine of two cents shall be col- lected for every day a book is retained beyond the specified time. If any person shall refuse or neglect to pay any sum due for the deten- tion, loss or injury of any book, his right to take books from the library shall be suspended until the same is paid.
