Proceedings of Special Parish Meeting June 19. 1906.


The legal voters met purewant to the about warrant and proceeded as follows. arx I. Chose James Hrwins Esq. Moderator.

On motion duly made and seconded a committee of three were appointed, consisting of Rev. J. A. Savage, Col. E. V. Mitchell and' Warren E. Jinakbury, to prepare resolutions on the death of Mr. Hamlet Night and The death of Mr. William I build and it was also voted that copies of such resolutions be sent to the families of the deceased and spread upon the church records.


The Committee retired and some presented the following :- Whereas


Our dear friends and fellow parishioners, Mr. Hamlet Wight and Mr. William J. build have recently been called from this life at a ripe age: There fore_ Resolved that we in Parish Meeting assembled on the 19th day of June, 1906., do wish, in consideration of our great loss in Their departure and in acknowledgement of their high merit as life long citizens of this town and most worthy, trusted and honored Parishioners of the First Parish in Medfield, hereby to record Your high esteem of their noble characters and capable and trustworthy lives, their manly integrity and fine judgement in all practical affairs resolved also that we communicate a report of this action to their families with our kindly sympathies and cause a record of the same to the Gnade in our Parish Minutes.

Col. Mitchell reported that some complaint had been made in regard to the trees hiding the town clock. HE suggested that a limb vin hanging The parsonage he demoved but wished the parlak to express their views in regard to both these matters. Voted that Parish Assessors be authorized to have link over hanging the parsonage removed and use their own judgement in regard to the other limbs hiding the faces of the clock.

Whereas in view of the loss we have sustained by the deceased of our friend and associate, who was an honored and esteemed member of the First Parish of Medfield, also one of its board of assessors :-

Resolved, that it is but a just, tribute of the memory of the departed to say that in regret. this his henkoval from our midet we mound for rue who was in every way worthy of our respect and regard .

art. I. To grant such sums of money as may be necessary to defray the expenses of the Parish for the year ensuing art. VI. To see if the Parish will authorg. the Treasures to borrow money in anticipation of takes.
