Alarms are sounded by striking two or more rounds of the box number. In cases where two alarms may have been given from different boxes, the second box having struck before the re-call from the first box, the re-call signal from the first box will be two blows, the re-call from the second box will be one biow. The all-out or re-call signal will be given by striking two single blows with an interval of ten seconds between the blows.
Second alarms will be given by striking two blows, followed immediately by one round of the box giving the first alarm.
Third or general alarm will be given by striking three blows, followed im- mediately by one round of the box, when all companies will respond immediately. 222-Two strokes repeated two times, at 7.45 A.M. and 1.15 P.M. in summer months.and 7.45 A.M.and 12.45 P.M.in winter months, denote no session of schools. 6.05 P.M .- No session of evening schools.
The bells will be struck once at 1 and 8.30 o'clock P.M.
