We believe a Christian church is an association of professed believers in Christ, for mutual watchfulness, for the enjoyment of Christian ordinances, and the mainten- ance of the worship of God; and that every church is complete within itself, and has the right to elect its own officers, administer its own government and discipline, and that all the brethren of the church are, with respect to rights and privileges, on a perfect equality.

3. This church will extend to other evangelical church- es, and receive from them the fellowship, advice and as- sistance which the law of Christ requires. It will extend the usual rights of communion, and practice the usual
