In 1926 the citizens of West Newton pre- sented to the City a new branch library build- ing and grounds, valued at over $62,000, and in January 1928 the citizens of Newton Centre and Auburndale gave new buildings and land, valued at about $63,000 and $52,000 respec- tively.
