We, the undersigned Auditors, respectfully report that we have examined the books and reports of the Water Commissioners, Water Registrar, Commissioners of the Sinking Funds, Tax Collectors, School Commit- tee, Town Treasurer, Overseers of the Poor, Trustees of the Public Library, Park Commissioners and Select- men, and find them correct.


Their books and reports agree with the books of the Town Treasurer.


The Town Treasurer's books and report agree with the Selectmen's orders and also with amounts received from Collectors of Taxes, Water Registrar and other sources.

WARRANT For Annual Town Meeting.


COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS. BRISTOL, ss.


To either of the Constables of Attleborough,


GREETING:


In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby required to notify and warn the legal voters of the Town of Attleborough to meet in Armory Hall, in said Attleborough, on Monday, March 5th, 1906, at 6 o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act upon the following articles, to wit:


Article I. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.


Art. 2. To consider and act upon the reports of the Selectmen, Treasurer and other town officers.


Art. 3. To choose by ballot a Town Clerk, three Se- lectmen, a Town Treasurer, three Assessors of Taxes, one Overseer of the Poor for three years, one Tax Col- lector, one Commissioner of the Sinking Fund for three years, one Park Commissioner for three years, one Chief Engineer of the Fire Department, two Assistant Engi- neers of the Fire Department, one Water Commissioner for three years, one member of the Board of Health for three years, three members of the School committee for three years, three Auditors, three Trustees of the Public Library for three years, one Tree Warden, and nine Constables.

Art. 4. To choose all other necessary Town Officers.


Art. 5. To vote "yes" or "no" upon the question, "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating li- quors in this Town for the ensuing year."


Art. 6. To see if the Town will accept the Jury List as prepared by the Selectmen.


Art. 7. To see what disposition the Town will make of the Dog Fund.


Art. 8. To choose any Committee, to hear the report of any Committee, and to act thereon.


Art. 9. To see if the Town will authorize the Treas- urer to make temporary loans in anticipation of receipts from taxes, for the year 1906, to be expressly made pay- able therefrom.


Art. 10. To determine the compensation of Town of- ficers, and laborers on the highway, and clerical assist- ance to Town officers.


Art. II. To see what appropriation the Town will make for the support of paupers.


Art. 12. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Overseers of the Poor to contract with physicians to attend the poor the ensuing year.


Art. 13. To see what sum the Town will appropriate to pay Military Aid.


Art. 14. To see what sum the Town will appropriate for the relief of indigent soldiers and sailors and their families, and to act anything thereon.


Art. 15. To see what appropriation the Town will make to be expended by Wm. A. Streeter Post, G. A. R., in the work of decorating the graves of soldiers and sailors of the republic.


Art. 16. To see what action the Town will take towards providing suitable quarters for Wm. A. Stree- ter Post, G. A. R., and what 'appropriation they will make for the same agreeable to a petition.

Art. 17. To see what appropriation the Town will make for highways and bridges.


Art. 18. To see what appropriation the Town will make for watering the public streets.


Art. 19. To see what sum the Town will appropriate for current and incidental expenses for the ensuing year.


Art. 20. To see what appropriation the Town will make for lighting the public streets, or do anything in relation thereto.


Art. 21. To determine when taxes become due and payable, and what rate of interest the Town will charge on taxes remaining unpaid when due.


Art. 22. To see if the Town will authorize the Col- lector of Taxes to use all means of collecting taxes which a Town Treasurer may use when appointed Col- lector.


Art. 23. To determine the number of Patrolmen the Town will employ the ensuing year, and make an appro- priation in addition to the court fines for the use of the police department as recommended by the Selectmen.


Art. 24. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $250.00 to be used by the Selectmen for the purpose of suppressing the illegal sale of intoxicating liquors in this town for the ensuing year.


Art. 25. To see what appropriation the Town will make for the current and incidental expenses of the Fire Department for the ensuing year.


Art. 26. To determine the compensation of the of- ficers and members of the Fire Department.


Art. 27. To see if the Town will vote to establish any additional fire alarm boxes, to extend the fire alarm system and make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 28. To see if the Town will vote to purchase two thousand feet of hose and make an appropriation therefor.

Art. 29. To see if the Town will vote to purchase the Deluge nozzles as recommended by the engineers, and make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 30. To see if the Town will vote to employ more permanent men as recommended by the Board of Engi- neers, and to make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 31. To see if the Town will vote to place the wires of the fire alarm in the centre of the Town under ground as recommended by the Board of Engineers, and make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 32. To see if the Town will vote to offer a re- ward for the arrest and conviction of any person or per- sons setting wood fires, intentionally or carelessly, and make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 33. To see if the Town will vote to erect a monument in memory of the soldiers and sailors who . enlisted from Attleboro, and who lost their lives in the War of 1861 to 1865, or will do anything in relation thereto agreeable to a petition.


Art. 34. To see what appropriation the Town will make for the support of the Public Library.


Art. 35. To see what appropriation the Town will make for the improvement and construction of side- walks.


Art. 36. To see what appropriations the Town will make for the school department, educational, incidental and repairs, text books and supplies, transportation of scholars, needy children and evening schools.


Art. 37. To see if the Town will vote to place sana- taries in the school houses and make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 38. To see if the Town will authorize the. Board of Health to secure one or more suitable places for the disposition of sewage and other refuse material, and make an appropriation therefor.

Art. 39. To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Health to regulate the collection of garbage by li- cense or otherwise, or to contract with one person to collect the same, and to make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 40. To see if the Town will vote to place in that section of the Town known as Lona Cutt, four arc lights and make an appropriation therefor agreeable to a peti- tion.


Art. 41. To see if the Town will vote to employ a Pa- trolman for that section of the Town known as St. Jean Baptist village, also Turner street and adjacent territory along the State line, and to make an appropriation there- for agreeable to a petition.


Art. 42. To see if the Town will vote to place two or more electric lights on Locust street, and to make an ap- propriation therefor agreeable to a petition.


Art. 43. To see if the Town will vote to ratify the ac- tion of the present Board of Overseers of the Poor, in creating the new office of Town or Department Physi- cian, or take any action thereon agreeable to a petition.


Art. 44. To see if the Town will vote to construct a drain from Park avenue to the Thacher Brook drain, and make an appropriation therefor or do anything in rela- tion thereto agreeable to a petition.


Art. 45. To see if the Town will vote to increase the number of members of the Board of Selectmen from three to seven in accordance with the provision of the Revised Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, agreeable to a petition.


Art. 46. To see if the Town will vote to place an electric light on the corner of Maple and Pine streets, and make an appropriation therefor agreeable to a peti- tion.


Art. 47. To see if theTown will vote to appropriate the sum of $226.83 to cover the overdrafts of the year 1905.

Art. 48. To see if the Town will authorize the Se- lectmen to sell the Briggs corner school property, or do anything in relation thereto.


Art. 49. To see if the Town will vote to build three or more catch basins and lay a drain pipe from same on Pleasant street from Starkey avenue to a point about 200 feet northerly from Perry street, and to make an ap- propriation for the same, or do anything in relation thereto.


Art. 50. To see if the Town will vote to place one arc light at the corner of Washington street and High- land avenue, one arc light near Jencks' store on Newport avenue, and three arc lights on Washington street be- tween lights that are now located thereon, and to make an appropriation therefor agreeable to a petition.


Art. 51. To see if the Town will vote to place one arc light on Highland avenue, to be located near the residences of John Culbert, George H. Dunham and Eu- gene Goldsmith, and make an appropriation therefor agreeable to a petition.


Art. 52. To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of $1000.00 to be expended on Turner and Mann streets, near the Oil Works, South Attleboro, agreeable to a pe- tition.


Art. 53. To see if the Town will accept and allow the layout of Cliff street as a Town way as made by the Selectmen, and make an appropriation therefor agree- able to a petition.


Art. 54. To see if the Town will accept and allow the layout of Hayward street as a Town way as made by the Selectmen, and make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 55. To see if the Town will vote to repair Rich- ardson avenue from Pleasant street to the Norton Town line, and make an appropriation therefor agreeable to a petition.

Art. 56. To see if the Town will accept George street from Park to Maple street as already laid out, viz .: 35 feet from Park street to the bend in the road and 40 feet from the bend to Maple street, and make an ap- propriation therefor agreeable to a petition.


Art. 57. To see if the Town will vote to place stand pipes at South Attleboro for the use of sprinkling carts, and make an appropriation therefor.


Art. 58. To see what sum the Town will appropriate together with the revenue of the Water Department for the current year for the maintenance of the Water De- partment, and for the annual contribution to the Sinking Fund, as recommended by the Water Commissioners.


Art. 59. To see what pipe the Town will authorize the Water Commissioners to lay during the ensuing year, and under what terms and conditions.


Art. 60. To see if the Town will authorize the Water Commissioners to sell land, if in their judgment it is for the best interest of the Town to do so, or take any action relative thereto.


Art. 61. To see if the Town will instruct the Water Commissioners to sell water to the Town of Norton, or take any action relative thereto.


Art. 62. To see if the Town will vote to incur a debt and issue bonds of the Town to meet the expense of the extension of Peck street under the railroad, or do any- thing in relation thereto.


Art. 63. To see if the Town will vote to have placed in that part of the Town known as Lona Cutt a fire alarm box agreeable to a petition.


Art. 64. To see if the Town will vote to place one fire alarm box on or near Sadler Bros.' Factory on New- port avenue, and make an appropriation therefor agree- able to a petition.

Art. 65. To see if the Town will vote to increase the equipment and compensation of the suburban com- panies of our Fire Department to such a high standard of efficiency as now exist in the central department of our Town agreeable to a petition.


Art. 66. To see if the Town will vote to place arc lights, one at the corner of Central street and West Carpenter street, the other arc light at the corner of Sib- ley and Pond streets, both on St. Jean Baptist plat, agreeable to a petition.


Art. 67. To see if the Town will vote to place elec- tric lights on Park street, at the corner of Bishop street, at the corner of Steere street, and at the corner of Wil- marth street, and make an appropriation therefor, or do anything relative thereto agreeable to a petition.


Art. 68. To see if the Town will vote to place one or more electric lights under or in the immediate vicinity of the new Forest street railroad bridge agreeable to a petition.


Art. 69. To see if the Town will vote to place elec- tric lights from Maple street to theRehoboth line, con- sisting of one incandescent light on every third pole and one arc light at Briggs Corner agreeable to a petition.


Art. 70. To see if the Town will vote to establish a fire alarm box at or near the corner of Thacher and West streets, and make an appropriation therefor, or do any- thing in relation thereto, and make an appropriation therefor agreeable to a petition.


Art. 71. To see if the Town will accept and allow the layout of a portion of Hodges street as a Town way as made by the Selectmen agreeable to a petition, and make an appropriation for the same. .


Art. 72. To see if the Town will accept and allow the layout of a portion of John street as a Town way as made by the Selectmen agreeable to a petition, and make an appropriation for the same.

Art. 73. To see if the Town will accept and allow the layout of a portion of the Mendon road as a Town way as made by the Selectmen agreeable to a petition, and make an appropriation for the same.


Art. 74. To see if the town will vote to place, erect and maintain one incandescent light at the corner of Parker and Orange streets agreeable to a petition.


The Polls will be open at 6 o'clock in the forenoon and may be closed at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting at- tested copies in at least ten public places in said Town at least seven days before the time of said meeting. Here- of fail not and make due returns of this Warrant with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk at or before the time of said meeting.
