The present Wessagussett Club, consisting of about 50 mem- bers, includes nearly all of the business and professional men in the north part of the Town, and also a number of non-resi- dent members, formerly citizens of Weymouth. The Club rooms are situated on Bridge street, and consist of a reading room, pool room, etc. The Wessagussett Club is the outcome of a consolidation of the old Ten Club organized something over twenty years ago, and the Independent Club formed several years later. An annual Ladies' Night, whist parties, during the winter months, various tournaments, etc., are a portion of its social features.
