The present Wessagussett Club, consisting of about 76 members, includes nearly all of the business and profession- al men in the north part of the Town, and also a number of non-resident members, formerly citizens of Weymouth. The Club rooms are situated on Bridge street, and consist of a reading room, pool room, etc. The Wessagussett Club is the outcome of a consolidation of the old Ten Club organized something over twenty years ago, and the Independent Club formed several years later. An annual Ladies' Night, whist parties, during the winter months, various tournaments, etc., are a portion of its social features.
