Tbe supply of water is taken from the Little River watershed (situated principally in the towns of Blandford, Granville and Russell) and by means of the following storage structures:

The entire supply of city water to any premises is fur- nished by meter only and at meter ratea; the nec- essary meters are installed by tbe water depart- ment at expense of the consumers for the Initial cost of the meters and connections only.
The cost of ordinary care and repair of all meters Is borne by tbe water works; the cost of unusual repalrs (necessitated by freezing, hot water, etc.) due or attributable to any carelessness, or neglect on the part of the consumer, will be charged to the con- sumer or owner.
METER RATES (Subject to all rules and regulations)
For each 100 cubic feet (748 gallons) of water as registered or estimated for each meter tbe rates shall be as follows:
Quarterly for each meter 1 to 5,000 cu. ft., 22 cents per 100 cu. ft .; 5.000 to 60,000 cu. ft., 13 cents per 100 cu. ft .; all over 60,000 cu. ft., 7 cents per 100 cu. ft.

The above increased rates will become effective for your district with our next bill to you which will be dated Marcb 1, 1955.
Each quarterly period will be computed and charged for independently of any other quarterly period and the rates therefore shall be paid accordingly.
When a meter from any cause fails to register the con- sumption of water, the quantity shall be estimated and the charge made based upon the registration by tbe meter when in order or upon the registration for corresponding prior quarter or perlod.
Miscellaneous and Temporary Uses-In certain cases of miscellaneous and temporary uses of city water, where the quantity used may be small, the charge for same may be estimated instead of being shown by meter, at the discretion of the Water Registrar and the Supt. The Water Registrar shall have the right to require an advance deposit as security for the payment of water bills, when he shall consider It for the interest of the city to do so; such deposit not to exceed a year's minimum rate for the property to be supplied or a reasonable estimate of the probable annual amount of such bllls.
