NEW BUILDINGS: DWELLINGS.


erecting one for M. L. CHILDS, on the corner of Chestnut and Carew streets. Mr. SCHLESSENGER is erecting for himself a dwelling on Carew street. A. D. MILLER has a new two-story house on Carew street, east of Chestnut.


GEORGE STEBBINS is erecting a residence on the Cabot road, two stories high, the main part 30 feet by 40, with L. J. M. War- riner has just completed for M. A. CLYDE a tenement block on the corner of Chestnut and Congress streets. It is two stories high, besides French roof, 32 feet by 82, the length being on Chestnut. It contains four large tenements. C. C. MOULTON has rebuilt his carpenter's shop, on Worthington street, which was destroyed by fire in April last. He built for Mrs. MARY SOLACE, at 143 Chest- nut street, a dwelling-house, two stories high, 40 feet front, by 30 deep. Silas Cook has built, on Congress street, a house, two stories high, for JOHN HENNESSEY, and one on Worthington street for HENRY GREBENSTEIN. W. H. MCKNIGHT has a new residence on the corner of Spring and Pearl streets. It is two stories high. On Swan street A. MARA has a new house. F. R. LADD is making an old house new, on Pendleton avenue. One new dwelling is com- pleted on King street, east of Hancock; and several west of Han- cock, on King, are being erected. LEON BELLVILLE is putting up a house for himself on Hancock street, north of Green. At 85 Walnut street, Mr. BELCHER, from Williamsburg, has a new house. BENNETT & KNIGHT, former proprietors of the wood-yard on Central street, have completed a two-story house on the corner of Central and Pine. It is 30 feet by 30, with an L, 16 by 18. C. S. FERRY has nearly completed for himself a residence on the east side of Chestnut street, north of Carew. It is two stories, 26 by 30, with an L 18 by 22, and will cost $6,000.


G. O. Kingsbury has erected four new tenement houses on Tay- lor avenue. They are to rent or sell. He has one on Union street which remains unsold. A house on Margaret street, west of Water, he built and sold to F. GROUT. A two-story double tenement house, on Franklin street, he built for O. DODGE; one of four tenements for JAMES BURKE, and one with two tenements for WILLIAM MOORE. He has constructed nine houses, containing twenty-four tenements, on Congress street, several of them on his own lots. He has disposed of nearly all of these. Mrs. MARY A. NOYES has one, MICHAEL HAYES one, PETER MCMULLEN one; JOHN LYSAGHT, STEPHEN CONLIN, and D. MANNING one each. On Morris street, he has built one for F. A. STROUD, two for WILLIAM T. NOBLE, and has one in process of construction for J L. SCOTT, one on Sharon street for MICHAEL SULLIVAN, and one on Whitney avenue and Water street for W. PEASE. He will erect, in the fall, two houses on Water street, and one on Margaret street. He was the builder of Granger's Block, on South Main street, and George Stebbins' Block, on North Main street.


ELIJAH W. BLISS has a house nearly completed, on the corner of Main and William streets. It is built of brick, is two stories high with French roof, 42 feet on Main street by 36 feet deep, and having an L, 18 feet by 20, and two stories high.
