BEVERLY CITY DIRECTORY, 1905.
PREFACE.
We present the third volume of the Beverly City Directory with the knowledge that its increase in size and popularity is the best evidence of its worth as a book of reliable information and advertising value. A glance at the table below will show the amount of work necessitated in the publication of this year's book, - a 70% change since the 1904 vol- ume was issued. Extra copies in pamphlet style for free distribution have been issued as in 1904 for the benefit of our advertisers. Those re- ceiving them may understand they are presented by and for the business men of the city who patronize this volume.
The map which has been carefully corrected again this year shows all new streets and other changes up to date. The special information in re- gard to the location of the summer residences is a valuable feature of this directory and can be found in no other. Both key and map show the latest corrections in the district comprising Beverly, Manchester, Hamil- ton and Wenham. For removals and names received to late for regular classification see page opposite 108.
Our thanks are tendered to all who have furnished information and especially to our numerous subscribers and advertising patrons.

CITY OF BEVERLY.
STREET AND HOUSE DIRECTORY
Giving the location of the streets, places, parks, squares, etc., and showing what other streets and places run from them or across them, with the point at which they inter- sect. * The system adopted for numbering the streets of the city is, that a person starting at the beginning of any street, and following along with the numbers, every even number will be on the left hand and every odd number on the right hand, with the names of heads of families and persons in business, in the order of location.
