PURITY SPRING
Danvers, Mass. G. D. PEABODY, Prop.
Letter from Robert Spurr Weston, Sanitary Expert 14 Beacon Street, Boston, Mass.
SPRING OF MR. G. D. PEABODY, DANVERS, MASS.
This Water belongs to the so-called diuretic class, that is, water that stimulates the action of the kidneys. It is pure and absolutely unpolluted, in fact, the softest natural water I ever examined. Excel- lent for all dietetic purposes.
(Signed) ROBERT SPURR WESTON.

PREFACE
The seventeenth volume of the City Directory shows a net increase in pop- ulation of over 1300, including the #births, over 1918. The usual large per- centage of changes has been made from the matter of last year's book, and every available means have been used to secure accuracy in the Directory. We have, as usual, made one thorough and a secondary canvass of the whole city, and present herewith the results: as complete and carefully-compiled a Direc- tory as we believe it possible to issue. The married women's names are in- serted by the special method we have adopted, and as there are now over six thousand of these, it will be seen that for dependability and completeness, the value of this volume is not to be compared with that of ordinary directories.
The map shows the many new streets laid out in the city during the past few years and other changes up to date. The special information in regard to the location of the summer residences is a valuable feature of this Directory, and can be found in no other. Both key and map show the latest corrections in the district comprising Beverly, Manchester, Hamilton and Wenham.
Our thanks are tendered to all who have furnished information, and es- pecially to our many subscribers and advertising patrons.
