RECOMMENDATIONS FOR 1929


I would ask that the sum of $4,700.00 be appropri- ated for this department for 1929, which allows for the pay of the Chief and one regular man, also for regular expenses of the Department and Special Officers when needed.


I desire to thank the Honorable Board of Select- men, His Honor Judge Charles I. Pettingell, the Associ- ate Justices, Clerk of the District Court, the Probation Officer, the Officers of the Department, and all who in any way assisted in upholding and maintaining the good name and reputation of the Town.

During the past year we have installed a heater in the Engine house at Merrimacport, also a lavatory at the Central Fire station.


We recommend the sum of $3,000. be appropriated for the salaries and general maintenance of the Fire Department.
