SIDEWALKS PATCHED.


Congress, North Bow, South Bow, West Pine, South Main, Forest, Water and West streets.


Jefferson street. Curbing reset under difficult.circumstances.


This was also resurfaced with 1100 square yards concrete. Spruce street. Reset 1000 feet curbing.


West Pine street. Set 221 feet new curbing.


Spring street. 750 feet gutter repaved and stone bunters re- set.


Pleasant street. 886 feet of cement curbing set. .


SOUTH MAIN STREET.


This road was widened from Hugh Ray's to the Hixon residence ; blasted and removed 45 cubic yards stone ; 1800. feet cement curbing laid.


BRIDGES REPAIRED.


Fisk Mill, Mellen street, Green street, Thayer street, Fruit street, Central street, Cedar street, Oliver street and Taylor street.


The North Purchase reservoir was re-covered.


During the year the department purchased a 2} ton Mack truck which has greatly increased the daily work of the . department. A new motor and bins were also bought for the crusher and the same remodeled. On running a short time, an accident happened to the shaft which crippled us muchly.


I take this opportunity to thank the board and the citi- zens for their co-operation during the past year.
