All inspections ordered by the Division of Livestock Disease Control have been completed, and the require- ments of Section 19, Chapter 129 of the General Laws of Massachusetts have been complied with. The nec- essary reports have been filed with the above mentioned department at 100 Nashua Street, Boston.

During the year there were four herd reported not tuberculin tested under State and Federal supervision. These herds were examined, identified and released.


There was also one case of horse sleeping sickness (Equine Encephalomyelitis), the animal recovered.


Twenty-four visits were made to examine and quarantine dogs known to have bitten persons and were suspected of having rabies. None of these dogs showed symptoms of this disease.
