REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE - 1955

To the Citizens of Granby :

During the year 1955, the Finance Committee met on ten occasions. These sessions included quarterly re- views of the budget, special departmental consultations, and open meetings for the purpose of hearing depart- mental budget recommendations.

The following transfers were made from the Re- serve Fund :

Appropriation for 1955 $2,500.00

Dec. 31, 1955, to Board of Health $34.17

Dec. 31, 1955, to Public Buildings .19

Total $34.36

Balance December 31, 1955 $2,465.64

We take pleasure in presenting the budget in a new format this year. The arrangement provides two im- portant features : (1) it gives the reader, at a glance, the previous year's appropriation and expenditure compared to next year's recommended budget; (2) by classified listing it provides an approximation of the tax dollar apportionment.

All budget items listed below have been given care- ful and individual attention and are herewith respect- fully submitted for your approval.

KENNETH B. GRAVES, Chairman GEORGE C. CARVER, JR., Secretary STANLEY T. SAPOWSKY EDWARD HARNISCH MAURICE MAHEU
