Each school has been visited and the children inspected. Our clinics will be continued this year and I sincerely trust that more will avail themselves of this opportunity in keeping well.

All pupils who have participated in athletic contests have been examined with gratifying results.

I wish to thank Dr. Richard P. MacKnight, State Dis- trict Health Officer and Miss Helen Pasztor, our School and Public Health Nurse, for their advice and assistance in my work of the year.

Tune: The Lorelei

The gate shuts slowly behind us. As we sadly leave the fold; The wind from the wide world before us Seems suddenly chill and cold. A sense of loss comes o'er us, As we think of carefree days, And know that stretching before us Are uphill, untried ways.

Yet visions mantle the mountains, And rainbows crown their heights. We lift our eyes from the pathway To glory's shining lights. And so, farewell to our High School, And the teachers who smoothed our way, We journey forth to the dangers And wonders of a new day.

I hereby submit the Twenty-sixth annual report and de- tailed statement of the duties performed by the Police De- partment of the Town of Middleborough, for the fiscal year ending December 31st., 1934.

I recommend that new quarters be provided for the de- partment, as the present quarters are not suitable to do efficient work.

I recommend that a cruiser car equipped with a radio, would be a great help to the department, as already several cars in other towns and cities have these radios, and are hooked up with the State Police Broadcasts.
