TOWN RECORDS FOR 1902.
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING.
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS.
NORFOLK, SS. To the Constables of the Town of Weymouth, in said County. GREETING : -
In the name of the Commonwealth, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid, qualified to vote in elections therein, to meet at Music Hall, East Wey- mouth, on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of January instant, at seven o'clock and forty-five minutes in the evening, then and there to act upon the following articles, namely : -
Article 1. To choose a Moderator.
Art. 2. To hear the report of the committee appointed at the special town meeting of July 13, 1901, and see what action, if any, the town will take upon said report, or upon the matters and things to which said report relates.
Art. 3. To hear the report of the Town Auditors as to their doings under the instructions given them at the aforesaid special town meeting, and to take such action as the town may see fit upon said report ..
Art. 4. Upon petition of Robert Mills and nine others : To see if the town will choose a committee to revise the By-laws of said town and report at the annual town meeting, or act in any manner in relation to the same.
Art. 5. To see if the town will reconsider the vote passed Jan. 23, 1891, whereby it voted that the number of Selectmen, Overseers of the Poor, and Assessors shall consist of five persons.
Art. 6. To see if the town will vote that the Board of Select- men, Overseers of the Poor, and Assessors shall consist of three persons.

And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting copies thereof, attested by you in writing, in two public places in each voting precinct in said town, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at or before the time of said meeting.

Pursuant to the within warrant, I have this day posted true and attested copies thereof in two and more public places in each pre- cinct in said town of Weymouth, as within directed.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING.
Pursuant to the foregoing warrant, a legal meeting of the in- habitants of the Town of Weymouth was held in Music Hall, East Weymouth, on Monday, January 27, 1902, the meeting be- ing called to order at 7.45 o'clock, P. M., and the warrant was read by the Town Clerk.
Article 1. Louis A. Cook, Esq., was elected Moderator by ballot, the check list being used in the election.
Art. 2. Voted, To accept the report of the committee ap- pointed at the Special Town Meeting held July 23, 1901.
Voted, That Messrs. Newell and the expert accountant have the privilege of speaking from the floor.
Art. 3. Voted, That the Auditor's report be accepted.
Art. 4. Voted, That a committee of five be appointed by the Moderator to revise the By-laws and report at the next annual town meeting.

The Moderator appointed the following on the above committee :
Albert P. Worthen, Gordon Willis, Francis A. Bicknell, John A. Raymond, George L. Barnes.
Art. 5. The Moderator ruled that no action could be taken under the article, other than at the annual town meeting.
Voted, That the article be indefinitely postponed.
Art. 6. Voted, That the article be indefinitely postponed.
Voted, To take up Article 2.
Voted, that 3,200 copies of the report of the committee under this article be printed and distributed at once, the result of the vote being, Yes, 110, No. 24.
Previous to taking the above vote, the Moderator appointed W. C. Earle and J. C. Howe as tellers and administered the oath to them.
Voted, That a committee of three be appointed by the Mod- erator, to have the report printed and distributed.
The Moderator appointed the following : John W. Bates, Fran- cis H. Cowing, Chas. J. McMorrow.
A motion to reconsider the vote whereby it was voted to have the report printed and distributed, was not carried.
Voted, unanimously, That the thanks of the town be extended to the committee of investigation for their elaborate report.
Voted, To adjourn.

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING.
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS.
NORFOLK, SS. To the Constables of the Town of Weymouth, in said County. GREETING :
In the name of said Commonwealth, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid, qualified to vote in elections therein, to meet at the polling places in their respective voting precincts, to wit :
In precincts numbered One, Three, Five, and Six, in the halls of the Fire Engine Houses located in those precincts respectively ; in precinct numbered Two, at Odd Fellows Opera House, and in

precinct numbered Four, at the Hose House at Nash's Corner, on Monday, the third day of March next, at six o'clock in the fore- noon, then and there to bring in to the Wardens of their several precincts, their votes on one ballot for the following named town officers, to wit :
Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, five Selectmen, five Overseers of the Poor, five Assessors, Collector of Taxes, three Auditors, two School Committee for three years, one School Committee for one year, one Park Commissioner for three years, three Trustees of Tufts Library for three years, one Water Commissioner for three years, one Commissioner for the Sinking Fund of the High School Loan Bonds for three years, one Tree Warden for one year, and ten Constables ; and also to vote on the same ballot, "Yes" or "No" upon the question "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town"?
The polls will be opened at six o'clock in the forenoon, and may be closed at one o'clock in the afternoon.
You are further required to notify and warn said inhabitants, qualified to vote as aforesaid, to meet at Music Hall, East Wey- mouth, on Monday, the tenth day of March next, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following arti- cles :
