ANNUAL TOWN MEETING, MARCH 1, 1915
The polls opened at 6.30 A.M.
Ballot Clerks: William W. Wade and Charles F. Curran. Registrars: Charles F. Clapp, Walter J. Stoddard and William Stanley.
Tellers: Ernest R. Seaverns, Herbert E. Webb, and Frank H. Barry.
Henry T. Bailey was chosen Moderator by ballot, and then had charge of the meeting, being the Presiding Election Officer of the voting on the official ballot.
The ballot box was opened at 9.30 o'clock A.M. and the counting of votes commenced.
The polls were declared closed at 1 o'clock P.M.

ARTICLE 5
Voted, That the Town do authorize its Overseers of the Poor to contract at their discretion for the support of the Town's poor.
ARTICLE 6
Voted, That the Town do authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow during the financial year beginning January 1, 1916, in anticipation of the collection of revenue of said year, such sums of money as may be necessary for the current expenses of the Town, but not exceeding the limit fixed by law, giving the note or notes of the Town therefor, payable within one year from the dates thereof. and to renew such note or notes as may be given for a less period than one year, provided the limit of one year is not exceeded thereby.
All debts incurred under this authority shall be paid from the revenue of the then current year.
ARTICLE 7
To hear the report of any committee heretofore chosen. Report by James W. Turner, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen on Public Landing and Wharf - plans shown - taken up in connection with Article 12.

ARTICLE 8
Voted, That the Town do authorize the Selectmen to prosecute, compromise or defend any suit or suits within the Commonwealth in the name of the Town.
ARTICLE 9
Will the Town determine the way and manner in which its taxes shall be collected the present year?
Voted, the same as last year. All taxes shall be payable by November 1 of the year when assessed, and that all taxes unpaid after said November 1 shall draw interest at six per cent from the 15th day of October until paid.
ARTICLE 10
Voted, That the Town do raise and appropriate the sum of $3,000 to be expended under the direction of the Highway Surveyor for the gravelling and shaping of its gravel roads and surfacing the same with oil.
ARTICLE 11
To act on the report of the Park Commissioners regarding the establishing of Public Bathing Beaches, etc.
Voted, That the Town Treasurer be authorized under the direction of the Selectmen, to borrow a sum of money not exceeding $5,000 for the purpose of acquiring Public Bathing Beaches, giving the notes of the Town therefor payable within five years from the dates thereof, in equal annual payments; said sum to be expended under the direction of the Park Commissioners.
ARTICLE 12
To act on the report of the Selectmen regarding the establishing and maintenance of a Public Landing, etc.
Voted, That the Town accept the plan for a Public Landing and Wharf, presented by the Selectmen, known as Plan No. 1, including the taking of the Driscoll property and other properties necessary to construct the wharf and approaches from Jericho Road, Front and Willow Streets, and raise and appropriate the sum of $14,000 for the

purpose, in accordance with Chapter 508, Acts of 1914. 110 in favor; 90 against.
Voted, That the Town Treasurer be authorized under the direction of the Selectmen to borrow a sum of money not to exceed $14,000 to be known as the Town of Scituate Public Landing Loan, Acts of 1914, and to issue the notes of the Town therefor, payable within ten years from the dates thereof in equal annual payments, in accordance with Chapter 508, Section 4, of the Acts of 1914.
ARTICLE 13
To see what action the Town will take to install a Fire Alarm System, etc.
Voted, To indefinitely postpone.
ARTICLE 14
Voted, That the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $50, to reimburse the Chief of the Fire Department for his services in connection with the special duties of his office.
ARTICLE 15
To see if the Town will reimburse the Oaks Farm of Cohasset for loss of cows due to lead poisoning in the prosecution of moth work.

ARTICLE 16
To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $500 and appoint a committee of three, of which one member shall be the Chairman of the School Committee, to prepare plans and choose a location for a new High School, etc.

Voted, That the Town do allow the use of the Town Hall for basket ball, under the direction of an adult.

Voted, That the Town do raise and appropriate the sum of $100 to be used for the collection and disposal of rubbish throughout the Town under the direction of the Clean-up Committee.

To see what action the Town will take in regard to planting shade trees, and to appropriate at least $150 for the purpose in order that the Town may enter the Shade Tree Planting Contest conducted by the Massachusetts Forestry Association.

Voted, That the Town do raise and appropriate the sum of $1,500 to be spent under the direction of the Park Commissioners in grading the parcels of land at or near the Egypt Railroad Station to be deeded to the Town by Frank O.
