Richard Fazio for the South section; Charles C. Cox and Arthur M. Moore for the centre; and John T. Stringer and Edward T. Clothey for the North section.

On a further show of hands, the result of the vote, as counted by the tellers, was Yes 23; No 30, and the moderator declared the motion to refer not carried.

The original motion, by the Finance Committee, was then voted in the affirmative.

A question raised by Harry Marshall as to whether or not a vote to purchase land requires a two-thirds vote was referred by the moderator to the town counsel. Town Counsel John I.
