CLAIMS.


Aid rendered paupers who have no settlement in Dighton, remaining unpaid, whose set- tlement is acknowledged elsewhere $113 50


Seven families comprising seventeen persons have re- ceived partial support during a part of the year, of which two containing eight persons, had a legal settlement in Dighton, and five families containing nine persons, had settlements in other towns or were State paupers.


Two families containing six persons, having a settle- ment in Dighton, have been aided by other towns and cities.


The whole number having a settlement in Dighton, who received full support during the whole or a part of the year in insane asylums, and private families, was five.


Supported in insane asylums, Philip J. McMannus, Charles Cobb and Nancy Waldron. Board of Charles Cobb re-imbursed by M. L. Cobb of Boston.


Two children were supported in private families until August, 1900, when by the provisions of Chapter 397, Acts 1900, the same were committed to the custody of the State Board of Charity.


There has been no inmates at the almshouse during the past year.


Number of tramps lodged at the almshouse during the year, 57.
