TOWN CLERK'S REPORT
A special town meeting was held on Jan. 11, 1913, at which Charles S. Chase was elected Moderator.
Voted that the Town Treasurer be authorized to bor- row $3,000 in anticipation of taxes.
At the Annual Town Meeting held March 3, 1913, Charles S. Chase was chosen Moderator.
D. T. Wood, Jr., Henry I. Potter, W. E. Walker, and George T. Horton were appointed and sworn as tellers.
Voted that the Moderator appoint a committee of seven to make estimates of appropriations for the ensuing year, W. H. Walker, J. K. Milliken, Geo. M. Chase, J. S. Place, A. E. Briggs, G. E. Hathaway, C. C. Andrews.
The following Town Officers were elected by ballot :

Voted that the present finance committee be a com- mittee to make a report at an adjourned meeting as to the best methods to be pursued in road building.
The vote on rescinding the vote whereby the Town voted to choose Road Commissioners resulted as follows: Yes 67; No 56, and the office of Road Commissioner was abolished.
Voted that a committee of four to act with the Select- men be appointed to investigate the change of grade and location of streets at "Cobbs Corner" so called. A. E. Briggs, R. W. Whitmarsh, J. S. Place, and C. C. Andrews were appointed.

Voted to authorize the Selectmen to waive the Town's right to build macadam for the State.
Voted to authorize the Selectmen to give a bond to in- demnity the State against loss in construction or change of grade in building State Highway this present year.
Voted to authorize the Selectmen to give a deed of the abandoned land caused by the relocation of Pearl Street to the Mt. Hope Finishing Co. in exchange for land taken for said street.
Voted that the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen be and hereby is authorized to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the taxes of the muni- cipal year beginning Jan 1, 1913, to an amount not ex- ceeding in the aggregate fifteen thousand dollars and to issue a note or notes therefor payable within one year, any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the taxes of said municipal year.
Voted to accept report of Town Officers as printed.
Voted salary of Tax Collector be one per cent of com- mitment.
Voted salary of Town Treasurer be $200.
Voted that the Town Officers be required to furnish bonds from some bond company.
