Voted : That taxes become due Oct. 15.
Voted: That the dog fund be appropriated for the use of the schools.
Voted: That the Moderator be instructed to appoint a committee of three of which the Moderator shall be chair- man. to prepare town by-laws and report at the next annual town meeting.
Voted: That the Library Trustees be increased to a membership of six.
Voted: To instruct the Moderator to appoint a Pilgrim Tercentenary committee of five.

Voted to amend the action under article 21 of the war- rant for the town meeting March 1, 1920 creating a Finance Committee, by striking out the words "who shall hold no other town office" in the first paragraph of the order creat- ing said committee, and to add to the said first paragraph after the words "to fill vacancies in its membership" the following sentence: "No member, after his or her term has expired shall be eligible to reappointment on said com- mittee until after a period of three years."
Voted :- That the matter contained in article 22 (relating to doing away with the Road Commissioner system) be postponed until the next annual town meeting, and the Finance Committee be requested to investigate the compar- ative cost of building hard road in this and surrounding towns.
Voted :- That the salary of the town clerk be two hund- red dollars and that all fees be paid into the town treasury.
Voted :- That the fees collected by the contsables and the sealer of weights and measures be paid said officers.

'T'he Selectmen and Finance Committee recommend flat appropriations for all current expenses and sufficient su- pervision of all orders and accounts, by the Town Officers, to insure against overdrafts from any cause whatsoever, in order that we may meet the requirements of the State Bureau of Accounts. An effort in that direction has been made in tabulating the above as may be seen by careful examination of those parts which relate respectively to Schools and the Gypsy Moth; and which in case of the Schools, accounts for about three thousand dollars of the apparent large increase in the recommendation to meet the expenses of that Department, as it includes the amount expected from the State and other sources. The increase in the Moth recommendation is for the same reason.

TOWN MEETING WARRANT.
Art. 1. To choose a Moderator to preside in said meet- ing.
Art. 2. To see if the town will authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year. beginning January 1, 1922.
Art. 3. To see if the town will authorize the Selectmen to prosecute. compromise or defend any suits for or against the town.
Art. 4. To decide when taxes shall become due.
Art. 5. To see if the town will make the yards of field drivers town pounds, provided they are also chosen pound keepers.
Art. 6. To see if the town will make an appropriation for a police force, or act anything thereon or thereto.
Art. 7. To choose all necessary town officers not elect- ed by ballot.
Art. 8. To see what disposition the town will make of the dog fund.
Art. 9. To raise and appropriate such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges the ensuing year.
Art. 10. To choose al necessary town officers. The following officers to be voted for all on one ballot viz : Town Clerk, three Selectmen, Treasurer, Collector of Tax- es. three Overseers of the Poor, three Auditors, three

Constables, one Tree Warden, three Herring Committee- men, two Library Trustees, each for one year; one Trust- ee of the Public Library for two years; two Trustees of the Public Library; one Assessor; one School Committee, one Road Commissioner, one Park Commissioner, each for three years ;and to vote by ballot "Yes" or "No", in answer to the following question : "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of certain non-intoxicating beverages in this town ?"
Art. 11. To see what pay the town will vote. the Treas- urer, Collector of Taxes and other town officers for the en- suing year.
Art. 12. To see what compensation the town will vote for labor and teams on the highways, and act thereon.
Art. 13. To see if the town will raise and appropriate a sum of money for the observance of Memorial Day, and act thereon.
Art. 14. To see if the town will accept the report of the Selectmen, and other town officers.
Art. 15. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate a sum of money not exceeding $3500.00 for the pur- pose of resurfacing with a bituminous top or otherwise improving Holmes Street, Cross Street and Rochester Road as follows, viz : From the westerly end of the Bitum- inous Road, on West Street to a point opposite Popes Point school building, and from the junction of the south- erly branch of said Rochester Road and Main Street which is by the side of Wilfred T. Tillson's cranberry bog to a point opposite Bates Pond school building, provided an allotment is received from the County, and act thereon.
Art. 16. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate a sum of money not exceeding $3500.00 for the pur- pose of resurfacing with a Bituminous top or otherwise improving Main street from the southerly end of the Bi- tuminous Road to a point opposite the home of Zephaniah W. Andrews, provided an allotment is received from the State, and act thereon.

Art. 17. To see if the town will authorize the School Committee to establish and maintain state-aided vocation- al education in accordance with the provision of Chapter 74. General Laws of 1920 ,and acts amendatory thereto, or dependent thereon, and further authorize the School Com- mittee to spend a sum not exceeding $300.00 for the pur- pose. (By petition.)
Art. 18. To see if the town will vote to Purchase the Sarah F. McFarlin lot of about 712 acres known as Great Hill Lot in said Carver and raise and appropriate the sum of $475.00 therefor, and act thereon.
Art. 19. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate a sum of money not exceeding $300.00 for the use of Julian M. Southworth Post No. 164 of the American Legion and act thereon. (By petition of Roy W. Mosher and .others.)
