FIFTY-SEVENTH ANNUAL REPORT OF THE
TRUSTEES OF THE TAFT PUBLIC LIBRARY.
Our library has closed another year in serving its patrons with interesting and instructive reading. The local scholars continue to use the library more and more each year. Every effort is being put forward by our librarian to give the best possible service at all times.
The trustees find themselves unavoidably facing a heavi- er outlay this coming year. There is a large insurance com- ing due. Also ceilings in the main room must be repaired in order to avoid possible heavy damage.
While the trustees at all times endeavor to keep the expenses as low as possible, we realize that the building must be kept in proper repair to avoid any possible injury to our townspeople who are continually patronizing the library.
We trust the people will understand our position and consider the best interests of the town when making the annual appropriation.
Respectfully submitted, SILAS DUDLEY, Chairman, EDWARD F. BLOOD, Secretary, MRS. LENA W. GEORGE, JOHN GOTSCHALL, HAROLD METCALF,
Library Trustees.
