REPORT OF THE OVERSEERS OF THE POOR.


The Board of Overseers of the Poor respectfully submit the fol- lowing as the result of their labors in the discharge of the duties of their office during the past year.


The whole number of persons having a legal pauper settlement in this town, who have been fully supported during the year, is twelve ; while one other has been fully supported during a portion of the year, and four more have received partial support or temporary as- sistance. In addition to this number there is also a family of five, the father of whom having gained a military settlement in this town, are at present receiving assistance in the city of New Bedford.
