Town Meeting Warrant, 1908.
BARNSTABLE, SS.
To either of the Constables of the Town of Harwich.
GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Harwich, qualified to vote in elections and town affiairs, to meet at Exchange Hall in said Harwich, on Monday, Feb. 3, 1908, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles :
Article 1. To choose a Moderator.
Art. 2. To determine the rate per cent. to be paid the Tax Collector for the ensuing year, and act fully thereon. 1
Art. 3. To choose on one ballot the following town officers and committees for the term of one year : Town Clerk and Treasurer, three Selectmen, Overseers of Poor, and Board of Health. Three Assessors, one for one year, one for two years and one for three years, three Herring Committee, two Auditors, three Constables, two Tax Collectors, one School Committee, one Road Commissioner for the term of three years. Shall Licenses be granted for the sale of Intoxicating Liquors? Vote Yes or No. Shall Section one to fourteen, inclusive of Chapter 28 of the Revised Laws authorizing cities and towns to lay out Public Parks within their limits be accepted. Vote Yes or No.
Art. 4. To choose all other necessary officers and commit- tees and act fully thereon.
Art. 5. To see if the Town will accept the list of Jurors as prepared by the Selectmen.
Art. 6. To hear the report of all Town Officers and Commit- tees for the year 1907, and act fully thereon.

Art. 7. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate the sum of fifty dollars for the suppression of crime.
Art. 8. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate such sums of money as may be necessary to defray Town expenses for the ensuing year.
Art. 9. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow money in anticipation of taxes for the ensuing year, and act fully thereon.
Art. 10. To see what action the Town will take in relation to insuring the Exchange building for one year, raise and ap- propriate a sum of money therefor, and act fully thereon.
Art. II. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate one hundred and fifty dollars for the benefit of the Broad brooks Free Library, and act fully thereon.
Art. 12. To see what action the Town will take in relation to the care and support of its poor now boarding with Albert Hall at the Almshouse, and act fully thereon.
Art. 13. To see if the Town will vote to instruct its Select- men to control, regulate and prohibit the taking of Eels, Clams, Quahaugs, Oysters and Scallops within the Town limits as pro- vided in Chapter 91, Section 85 of the Revised Laws of Massa- chusetts, and to make any regulations in regard to such fisheries as they shall deem expedient.
Art. 14. To see if the Town will vote to revalue the property of the Town of Harwich, and act fully thereon.
Art. 15. To see if the Town will vote to elect Park Com- missioners under Chapter 28 of the Revised Laws of Massachu- setts, and as provided in said Chapter, Section 1 to 14 inclusive, prescribe their terms of office and act fully thereon.
Art. 16. To elect Three Park Commissioners.
