The Selectmen and Town Clerk then proceeded to canvass the votes given in, and the whole number was seven hundred and four (704), which were sorted, counted, and recorded and declaration thereof made in open town meeting and were for the following National, State, and County officers, viz :

The whole number of votes was seven hundred and four. Jonathan Cobb of Dedham had six hundred and sixty-nine votes.


George A. Beedem of Weymouth had thirty-five votes.


In voting the check list was used and ro person was allowed to deposit his vote until his name was found on the list and checked.


The business of the meeting being accomplished, the returns were filled up, signed by the Selectmen, countersigned by the Town Clerk and sealed up in open town meeting, and deliv- ered to the Town Clerk to be forwarded to their places of des- tination.


The votes cast and the list of voters used at the polls were then sealed up, endorsed by the Selectmen, and delivered into the Custody of the Town Clerk, in conformity with the law in such cases made and provided.


Voted, to dismiss the warrant.

MEETING OF THE TOWN CLERKS


OF THE EIGHTH NORFOLK REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.


A record of the doings of the Town Clerks of the towns of Wrentham, Medway, Franklin, Foxboro, Bellingham and Norfolk, constituting the Eighth Representative District in the County of Norfolk.


On the sixteenth day of November A. D. 1888, the Town Clerks of the above named towns met at the Town Hall, in Franklin, and examined and compared transcripts of the records of votes cast in said towns on the sixth day of said No- vember for two Representatives to the General Court, for said district ; and did ascertain that William A. Wyckoff of Frank- lin and James D. Lincoln of Wrentham were duly elected, and we issued certificates of their election, one of which we trans- mitted to the Secretary of the Commonwealth, one was deliv-

ered to the Constable of Franklin, and one to the Constable of Wrentham.
