A note has been issued for $1,800 for the purpose of extending the Municipal Light and Power lines to the Pumping Station, as per vote passed at a special meeting held Nov. 30, 1909. This note falls due Jan. 21, 1913.
For the purpose of extending the Municipal Light and Power lines into the Town of North Reading there has been issued twelve notes of $1,000 each, the first falling due March 27, 1914, and one each year thereafter until 1925, when all will have been paid. This is in accordance with the vote passed at a special meeting held June 21, 1910.
All the above notes bear interest at 4 % per annum, payable semi-annually.
On June 18, 1907, at a special meeting, a vote was passed authorizing the sale of Water Bonds to an amount not exceeding $14,000, for the purpose of remodelling the water filter. In accordance therewith I have sold bonds for the above amount - seven $1,000 bonds being sold in February at a premium of $35 for each bond and the balance sold in June at a premium of $3.62 for each bond.

Notes have been issued the past year for temporary loans in anticipation of taxes to the amount of $105,000. Of this amount $50,000 has been paid, leaving a balance of $55,000, maturing in 1911.
The average daily balance of Temporary Loans for the year 1910 was $76,767.12; the average rate of interest paid for Temporary Loans for 1910 was 3.91 per cent.
Yours respectfully, WARD C. MANSFIELD, Treasurer.

We have examined the accounts of the Selectmen. Water Commissioners and Electric Light Commissioners and found satisfactory vouchers for all expenditures.
We have examined the accounts of the Treasurer, Col- lector and Town Clerk and found them correct.
We have also examined the bonds and notes paid during the year and found them, with the exception of Highland School Bonds Nos. 23 and 24, for $1,000 each, which had not been presented for payment and for which checks are still outstanding, to be duly paid and cancelled.
We believe the Town is to be congratulated on the new system of keeping the accounts at the Town office. The work has been much simplified and it is possible to obtain a comprehensive report of the financial condition of the Town at any time during the year.
