Six stations, dis- tances and fares from Boston are, on the Central Massachusetts: Weston, fourteen miles, 23 cents, twelve rides, $1.65; Cherry Brook, fourteen miles, 25 cents, twelve rides $1.70; on the Fitch- burg division, Stony Brook, thirteen miles, 25 cents, twelve rides, $1.50; Kendal Green, thirteen miles, 27 cents, twelve rides, $1.65; Hastings (flag), fourteen miles, 27 cents, twelve rides, $1.65; Silver Hill (flag), fifteen miles, 32 cents, twelve rides, $1.75.
Post Offices are Weston, Kendal Green and Stony Brook in the town. A few residents in the northern part receive mail from South Lincoln, and those in the south-eastern corner from Au- burndale.
Population, 1,710 in 1895; 1,834 in 1900; 2,091 in 1905; 2,259 in 1910. Registered voters 412. Town valuation, March 1, 1910, $6,832,756.00. Tax $11.30 per $1,000. No License.
Weston, a part of Watertown in 1630, a farmers' precinct in 1698, was incorporated as a town January 1st, 1712. Area 16.6 square miles. It is bounded by Lincoln on the north, Wal- tham and Newton on the east, Wellesley on the south, and Way- land on the west.
