CLINTON HOUSE,

CLINTON, MASS.

I. W. COOK PROPRIETOR.

This house was established in December, 1847, but was remodelled and refur- nished in 1876. The rooms are large and spacious, about eleven or twelve feet high, and the house is of considerable size, containing fifty-four good, clean beds. Mr. Cook's neighbors and fellow townsmen speak well of him and of the house, which, with its surrounding, seems a nice place for the business man as well as for parties of pleasure, there being a good stable and a large billiard-hall connected with the estab- lishment. One thing should not be forgotten, the landlord sets a good table and there is no lack of generous fare. The average number of hotel arrivals is about twenty a day, and board varies from a dollar and a quarter to two dollars and a half per day. according to the rooms occupied.

CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS.

LABORATORY OF JAMES F. BABCOCK, ANALYTICAL AND CONSULTING CHEMIST. No. 10 ROLLINS ST., BORTON, Sept. 13, 1878.

This may certify that the following is the analysis and result of a sample of Lager Beer, from the Brewery of H. & J. PFAFF, Boston, delivered to me the tenth day of Beptem' er, 1878.

ANALYSIS AND RESULT.

The sample was found to be of good quality, fine flavor, and clear and brilliant. Analysis showed that it contained 4 89-100 per cent of Alcohol by volume, and 6 44-100 per cent of extract of Malt and Hops.

It was free from any adulteration and appears to be manufactured solely from the constituents of Malt, Ilops and pure water.
