STREET, AVENUE AND STREET CAR LINE GUIDE

Revised and Corrected up to October 15, 1923

By the decimal system of numbering houses one hundred numbers are allot- ted to each square, commencing at CHARLES STREET running EAST and WEST and at BALTIMORE STREET running NORTH and SOUTH. All other streets not commencing at either of the above points are numbered in accord- ance with this system. By this system Even Numbers are invariably found on the North and West side of Streets, and Odd Numbers on the South and East side. The following classification and arrangement of Streets forms a diagram for each Street, giving its starting point, intersections and numbers, and will be found of great utility in finding special locations. From this list the location of any number on a Street can be ascer- tained; as for instance, wishing to know at what part of Aisquith Street No. 621 comes, look at Aisquith Street and you will find that McElderry Street runs from 601 and Monument 701, showing that No. 621 Aisquith Street is between McElderry and Monument Streets.
