Our schools have had a very successful year. The en- rollment has been better than usual. The interest is very good.

The Dudley schoolhouse has new blackboards. The Pyle schoolhouse has been painted and provided with new win- dows and blackboards. New heaters have been installed - in the Moran and Richardson schoolhouses. A larger furn- ace has been placed in the basement of the Porter school. Good value has been secured in all repair work.

We believe that the pupils of our schools are receiving substantial benefit from the investment made by the citi- zens. We bespeak continued support with the assurance that efforts for improvement will be made.

Respectfully submitted,

ELMER H. WEBBER, Superintendent of Schools. Mapleton, Maine, February 6, 1931.
