The progress made in our schools during the past year is exceed- ingly gratifying. The general efficiency of our teachers. and the promptness of the pupils, are worthy of the highest commendation. And we would take this opportunity to express our hearty congra u lations for the additional three hundred dollars raised by the Dis- trict for school purposes, the result of which we think will be of in- calculable value. We would also earnestly represent the need of Sawyer Hill and Gates divisions, for suitable school houses, as both are unfit for school purposes.
