Between calls replace the receiver for a moment, then pick it up and wait for the dial tone before making the next call.
If you are cut off! report this promptly to your operator so we can properly adjust the charge for the call.
If you wish to call back the operator during the progress of a call which she is handling, move the receiver hook up and , down SLOWLY until she answers.
When you ore through with your call, be sure the re- ceiver is replaced properly so your telephone can be rung on the next call.
Busy signal - A persistent series of buzzing sounds inter- r ipted by clicks means that the called telephone is busy or if is a party line that somebody else is using .. When you hear this, you should replace the receiver. (There is no charge for E "line busy."> Wait about three minutes and try again.
