Dr. Sterling's Ambrosia,

For the

It is a well known fact to thousands in the City of New York that this is the only article yet discovered that will Cure the disease of the scalp and cause the Hair to grow.

We advise young persons, whose hair is begining to fall out, to take warning in time, and save their hair, by using the Ambrosia. To those who have already lost their hair, the free use of the AMBROSIA will surely restore it, as it has done for thousands.

"BEFORE USING STERLING'S AMBROSIA, MY HAIR WAS SHORT, THIN, AND RAPIDLY FALLING OUT."

Certificate of Mrs. Brown, whose photograph may be seen at all the Drug Stores in this and other cities :

"This is to certify, that about eighteen months ago, I com- menced using STERLING'S AMBROSIA. My hair was short, thin and rapidly falling out. I had tried many hair Tonics, Invigorators, &c., without receiving any benefit. Soon after using the Ambrosia. my hair ceased falling out and com- menced growing so rapidly as to astonish me. Now my hair is thick, soft and glossy. und is five feet four inches in length -when let down, reaching to the floor. This wonderful re -. sult I attribute solely to the use of STERLING'S AMBROSIA, 88 since I commenced using it, I have applied nothing else to my hair. Mrs. L. A. Brown, 182 Bleecker Street.

DR. STERLING'S AMBROSIA is a stimulating oily extract of Roots, Barks and Herbs. It will cure all diseases of the scalp, and itching of the head ; entirely erndicates dandruff. prevents the hair from falling out. or from turning prema- turely grey, causing it to grow thick and long. It is entirely different from all other preparations, and can be relied on.

PRICE $1.00 PER BOX, containing two bottles.

GROWING FLAX AND HEMP.

: machine is now invented, by which Flax Straw, that has heretofore been thrown away, is of more value than the Flax Seed for which it was raised. If Flax Straw could be had for nothing (as it can in some places), this machine would pay for its cost in twenty-four hours. There is from $50 to $100 profit per day in the machine, at the rate Flax Straw can be had in some localities, and be sold (wh cleaned by this machine), in others. It is worth a journey to New York to see but this is not necessary, because hundreds have been sold to different parts of country where they can be seen."Flax like Cotton is always in demand. Tur machine has cost years of toil, and thousands of dollars have been spent in experi- ments, and seventeen patents were taken out before reaching this simple and valu- able improvement.

It has taken the first premium at the State Fairs in New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and every other Fair where it has been exhibited. At the late State Exhi- bition at Utica, N. Y., the special committee on Flax requested Flax Dressers and others present to offer any objection, but none was offered; they also say that this machine does more work with less power than any other, and wi less fibre; it is cheap and durable; not dangerous to life or limb; it does n skilled ora labor to operate it; it requires but a small space; its invention in the history of Flax Culture, almost as important as the inven: Gin. They speak further in its favor and then say "'Though w very strong terms of the value of the machine, we do not wish to q we have bestowed on it, and are of opinion that the use of it woul country this year over a million of dollars, by having had the Flax this machine." These machines brake twenty-five hundred pounds hours; one party is brakeing over thirty hundred daily, in ten hour

JOHN W. QUINCY, Treasurer 98 WILLIAM STREET, NE

He will send you without charge a pamphlet speaking of the cultnr descriptive of this machine.

One horse power will answer; two horses will answer better.

The machine takes up"about five feet square.

DOUBLE OVEN COOKING RANGES.

CHILSON'S CONE FURNACE.

Patented in America, England and France.

COLD

AIR

The extensive use of this superior Furnace in the United States has acquired for it a reputation too well and favorably known to need more at this time than to call the special at- tention of those in want of the best possible means of warm- ing dwellings. public buildings, &c., with pure, fresh, health- ful heat (free from that dry. red hot iron heat, and coal gas, so common to hot air furnaces,) to an examination of this superior invention, which represents a cluster of cones, or tapering Radiators over a broad flaring, shallow fire-pot' These cones being large at the base, and small at the top, se- cures the great and important object of retaining and hold- ing the smoke and gases back, in contact with the burning fuel-thus thoroughly consuming the gases, while their heat is compressed up into the Cones, and made to impinge against and radiate from the tapering surfaces,-thereby securing twice the heat from a given amount of coal, than can be ob- tained from any other plan known to man. This furnace is very simple in its construction, and easily managed, and much less liable to need repairs than any other plan of fur- nace in use.

Also five sizes of PORTABLE FURNACES on the same princi- ple, that are giving most perfect satisfaction. The Cone Furnace received a Gold Medal at a recent fair in Boston, and the only gold medal ever awarded to a furnace in Massa- chusetts.

CHILSON'S PATENT ELEVATED DOUBLE-OVEN COOKING RANGE.

C. CHILSON'S COOKING RANGE, BOSTON
