ADDITIONAL FACTS ADMITTED
Cook, Miss Vera. * July 1915. DISMISSED
Anna Della Lange Bartholomew. Letter Aug. 10, 1915 to M. E. Ch. Van Etten. Caroline Flanders Sanford. Letter Sept. 20, 1915 to Pr. Ch. Irvington, N. Y.
The early records of the Congregational Church here are quite meager. We are finding very fine supplementary accounts of many of those who went from here long ago, who were "dismissed by letter to some place in the west," or "to go west where God's Providence directs."
Our town as, "The Little Mother who sits at home," has abundant reason to be trond of the record made by very many of her boys and girls who, at different times, have gone out to seek their fortunes. In the early days, ten or more large families went west together. All thro the years, they have been migrating. To-day Spencer-born men and women, or their descendants, can be found in almost every state of the union; and there are few large cities where they are not engaged in active work. You find them in all callings. Generally they are rendering very good, and often distinguished and brilliant service to the community in which they lived.
