This indenture made this thirtieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty eight by and between John Fine of Hempstead Harbour within the bounds of Hemp- stead in Queens County on Nassau Island in the province of New York, Yeoman, of the one part, and Hendrick Onderdonck of the said Hempstead Harbour in the town, County, Island and Province aforesaid, Karchant, of the other party Witnesseth that whereas the Freeholders and Inhabitants of the Town of Hempstead above- said did give and grant unto John Robinson the stream of Water at the Head of Hempstead Harbor aforesaia for the erecting and building a Grist dill upon the said stream & in pursuance of the gd grant of the Town of Hempstead sd J. Robinson did erect a Crist Mill upon sd stream and in prossuss of Time the said John Robenson togather with his two Sons Joseph and John Robenson did pass & Deed of Conveyance from under their hands and seals unto Charles Cott of Hempstead aforesaid for the said fill and Appurtenances as may appear by the said Deed bearing Date 2º Day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and nine which said mill with the Mill Dam and stream and the other appurtenances was transfered from the said Charles Mott unto Jeremiah Williams his heirs and assigns forever by one certain Deed bearing Date the 2d Day of July in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and fifteen as may appear at Large by the said Deed and further the said Jeremiah Williams hath also purchaised Sundry Small pieces of Land Lying adjacent to the said Mill on the West side of the stream and Harbour as may appear by the

several respective Deeds for the same, viz one whereof is a Deed from under the hand and seal of Benjamin Seaman of West- bury, deceased, hearing date the 20th day of May one thousand seven hundred and twenty including two small pieces of land one piece whereof is that whereor the orchard is on the West Side of the Kill Swamp ard house South West of the Mill Dam etc. the Other piece whereon the other House standeth both said pieces bounded as Respectively set forth in the said Deeds fron the said Benjamin Seaman to Jeroniah Williams the quantity of Land in the Two said pieces is recorded & set forth more at Large by the Records of the Town of Hempstead in the New Book of Land Surveys made by the Town Surveyors in folo Ninety three under the patten Right of Thomas Vallis the third Small piece is half one aore and one Rod where the Barre now standeth Bounded as is represented in a Dead from Jonathan Smith to Jeremiah Williams bearing Date the 16th Day of May 1720 the fourth piece lyeth joining to that whereon the House standeth containing in quantity half an acre Bounded as Described in a Deed for the same from Charles Mott to Jeremiah Williams Bearing date the 15th Day of April 1728, the fifth piece contains four acres and thirty six rods Bounded as is Described in a Deed for the same from Joseph Mott to Jeremiah Williams the 22d Day of april 1732 and whereas by an indenture made and passed from said Jeremiah Williams to Thomas Parsell Junior of the Township of Oyster Bay Bearing date the 22d Day of June 1741 all the Premises viz the Will and Dam and all the appurtenances thereto belonging togather with all and singular the said pieces of land with the Houses and Edifices and all the Appurtenances ware sold and

conveyed unto ye sd Thomas Pearsall as may appear by the above said Indenture from the said Jeremiah Williams to the said Thomas Pearsall which premises were all and singular transfered from the said Thomas Pearsall unto Richard Mott as may appear by Indenture bearing Date the 12th day of April 1742 as relation thereto being had may more Yarg appear Whereby it manifestly appears that the above said Richard Hott was lawfully vested and seized of the shovesaid Kill Houses Lands End appurtenances. Now this Indenture further testifieth that the aforenamed Richard Mott, Dec", did in and by his last Will and Testament bearing date the 10th day of the eigth month seventeen hundred and forty three order his Real and Personal Estate to be sold by his Executors which included the above Bargained Premises and in and by said will did appoint ordain and constitute his wife Sarah Mott and her father Thomas Pearsall, Famund Wott and Richard Thorne of Great Neck, all of Hempstead in Queens County aforesaid to be his Executors as may also appear by said Will but the said Richard Thorne having relinquished his right thereto which said will being approved of by George Clinton Esquire, Captain General and Governor in chief in and over the province of New York etc. as may appear by the probate of the same bearing Date the 29th day of October 1743 and the said Sarah Kott Thomas Pearsall and Edmund Kott in pursuance to the last Will and Testament of the said Richard Zott Deceased Did pass one Deed of convayance from under their hands and seals unto John Pine of the Township of Hempstead aforesaid for the abovesaid Mill Houses Lands and Appurtenances Bearing Date the 30th Day of March 1744. sait John Pine also purchased of Thomas Pearsall of Hempstead Harbour in the Township of Hempstead all that of one certain Svang or part thereof lying at the head of Tempatded Harbour a great part thereof being now overflowed with Cater in the said John Fines Kill Pond being butted and hounded as followeth Beginning near the Head of the Swamp leaving out about half an acre and then running Nothardly taking in all the swamp But not to infringe upor the piece of Swamp laid out to Richard Valentine to the "ill Dam containing fifteen acres be it more or less Togather with all the aprurtenances thereunto belonging as may appear by the said, Thomas Pearsall Deed of Conveyance for the same unto the xaid John Pine bearing date the 19th Day of March 1749/50 Reference thereunto being had so that the suid John "ine is lawfully vested and seized of the shovesaid Mill Houses Lands and appurtenances.
Now this indenture further witnenseth that the said John Pine for and in consideration of the full and just sum of one Thousand one hundred pounds of good currant and Lawfull money of the colony of New York to me in Land well and truly paid or secured to be paid by the before mentioned Hendrick Onderdonck the Receipt wherecf I do hereby acknowledge and myself to be therewith fully Satisfied contented and paid and thereof and of every part and parcell Do release Lequit and fully discharge him the said Hendrick Onderdonck his hoirs executors and administrators and each and every of them forever by these presents hath given granted bar- gained sold alloned enfeofed assured conveyed & confirmed and by these presents do fully freely clearly and absolutely give grant bargain sell alienate enfeof assure convey and confirm unto him

the said Hendrick Onderdonck his heirs and assigns forever all that of the aforesaid Grist Mill situate at the head of Hempstead Harbour together with the stream of 'ater, Mill Dam flues, Mill Houses Mill stones Running Gears with the three Bolting Kills thereunto belonging and the appurtenances to the forementioned things Belonging or in any wisc arpertaining and also the Mill Picks and Irog Crow etc Togather with all other the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging as also the two Measuages situated on the "est Side of the Kill comprehending all the land described and bounded in the Deeds before mentioned containing in the pieces near the mill about eleven acres and three quarters by estimation togather with the piece and parcell of Swamp ground situated in and at the head of the mill pond which is comprehended in the above Resited Deed of Conveyance from Thomas Pearsall unto me the said John Pine together with allthe dwelling Houses and Barnes Buildings Edifices Whatsoever standing & being upon all and every part of the Lands mentioned as abovesaid togather with all the fences fields pastures Orchard Gardens, Inclosures Timber frees Joods Underwoods waters Water courses Rivolets or Whatsoever Ells Belonging appurtaining or Deemed to be a parcell or Member thereof with the Reversions and Remainders thereof To have and to hold the said Grist Mill and Appurtenances with all the lands Rousen and appurtenances thereto belonging Unto him the said Hendrick Onderdonck his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own solo and proper uso benefits and behoof forover and the said John Pine for him self his heirs executors administrators doth covenant promis grant and agree to and with the seid Kendrick Onderdonck his

hoirs and assigns that he the said John Fine is the sole and lawfull owner of the above bargained premises and am lawfully seized and possessed thereof in his own proper right of a good perfect and absolute estate of Inheritance in fee simple and had in himself full power good right and lawfull authority to grant bargain sell and dispose of the same in manner as above said and that the said Hendrick Onderdonck his heirs and assigns shall and may by virtue hereof lawfully quietly and peacably have hold use occupy Command enjoy and posess all the above granted and Bargained premises with the appurtenances free and clearly acquitted released and forever discharged of and from all Manner of former and other gifts grants Bargains Sails Morgaiges Joyntors Dowrys Judgements Executions and all other Incumbrances Thatsoever and further I the said John Ping Doth Covenant Bind and Oblige
