Y., November 12, 1874; was a member from the 32d senatorial dis- trict of the state constitutional convention in 1894; was appointed chairman of the commission of statutory revision and gov- ernor's confidential legal adviser, by Gov- ernor Morton, January 2, 1895, and reap- pointed by Governor Black in 1897 ; was appointed chairman of the commission to revise the New York code of civil proced- ure June 15, 1895 ; has practiced law at Little Valley since 1874.
